“Spirit of Vincent House Award” in memory of Marlene Schubmehl was presented to Nancy LeVesque. Nancy LeVesque has been involved with Vincent House since the beginning. Over the past 16 years she has served on the Board of Directors as secretary and before stepping down held the position of president. Not only did she serve in the capacity of overseeing operations at VH, she also was very dedicated to volunteering her time to take care of our residents and going above and beyond with the commitment to the mission of Vincent House by helping to serve the community. Nancy had the ability to remain objective as a board member. Nancy shows compassion with resident care and is always willing to help with many of the fundraising events. This recognition was long overdue.
Thank you and congratulations!
Our entertainment for this event was a visit from “Elvis”, who serenaded all of with his songs. It was a nostalgic evening for us.

Vincent House 7th Annual Polar Plunge
Saturday, April 8th, 2017 at the Beachcomber on Conesus Lake.
This past year, we added the Lil’ Dippers to our Polar Plunge event, since many younger children and/or their parents wondered if there was a way their younger children could participate and begin to learn how to "PAY IT FORWARD" so.... we put our heads together and came up with the idea to include them. With the assistance of Mrs. Campini and her assistant, Shelby Webster, and the National Junior Honor Society, at the Wayland-Cohocton School, it was a huge success. They are already planning on enhancing this aspect of the Polar Plunge for next year. Children 8 years of age and under will be able to get sponsors and join in the festivities. A special time will be allotted for them to learn the chicken dance with our famous Vincent House chicken and then parade down to the lake and dip their little hands or toes in the lake. Our regular registration forms will be available at the school, on line, or at Vincent house for them to use. Due to the large number of participants and on-lookers, Turbo Taxi will again be offering free taxi service along the West Lake Road.
Tell Them Where You Got It is the redemption center in Wayland, NY. Anyone wishing to return their bottles and cans to them may designate Vincent House as the recipient of their return money. Thank you Bobbi O’Neil for sponsoring Vincent House and for your generous donation.
